Fort Portal & Kyenjojo Set to Host Round 5 of the 2025 Uganda National Rally Championship
The Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) is thrilled to announce that Fort Portal and Kyegegwa districts will host the fifth round of the 2025 Uganda National Rally Championship (NRC) from Friday, 22nd August to Sunday, 24th August.

This event, organized by the United Motorsport Club (UMC) one of the oldest and most respected motorsport institutions in Uganda will traverse the scenic yet challenging landscapes of Kyenjojo and Fort Portal, covering 280 km in total: 125 km of competitive racing and 155 km of liaison sections.
Fans can expect a mix of narrow technical tracks, high-speed straights, and unpredictable weather conditions that will test both driver skill and machine endurance.
Beyond the racing, FMU continues to use motorsport as a vehicle to promote tourism and local economic activity. By taking NRC events to different regions, FMU draws thousands of visitors who spend on accommodation, food, and cultural experiences — leaving a positive impact long after the engines go silent.

FMU General Secretary Reynolds Kibira extended heartfelt appreciation to the event’s sponsors: KCB Bank, Redsun International, WorldWide Movers, and Trademate Cloud, among others, whose support is instrumental in making the championship possible.
He also applauded United Motorsport Club (UMC) for their dedication in organizing this prestigious round and for maintaining a tradition of professionalism and safety in Ugandan rallying.
“By bringing our events to unique parts of Uganda, we are showcasing the beauty of our country while fueling local tourism and giving fans unforgettable experiences,” he emphasized.
