Calm, quiet, and always minding his business until the helmet goes on. Farook Sentongo, famously known in rally circles as Mr Miniprice, is one of Uganda’s most respected gentleman drivers, a man who balances business during the week and dust, noise, and speed over some weekends. While many drivers make noise in interviews, Farook prefers to let the engine speak for him.

A familiar face to longtime and keen rally followers, Farook started  in 2017 when he campaigned a Subaru GC8 branded on the famous Mini Price stickers. The car itself carried heritage, having been acquired from former national champion Nasser Mutebi. From the first time he hit the stages, fans appreciated his humble nature, clean driving style, and passion for the sport.

Unlike some competitors who appear in every rally like unpaid bills, Farook has never been a regular season contender due to demanding business commitments. But whenever he enters an event, rally fans know one thing for sure there will be style, class, and a serious attempt to finish strong. He may disappear for years, but when he returns, he returns like a movie sequel.

Throughout his rally career, Farook has trusted only a select number of co-drivers. He began his journey with Aaron Nsamba before forming a longer partnership with Pius Luggya, who navigated him through many memorable events. For the Shell V-Power Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally 2026, Farook now combines forces with Charles Lubowa, a man who will serve as his voice of reason when the roads become rough and the corners start asking difficult questions.

Farook’s rally garage has seen only two machines throughout his career a sign of loyalty and patience. He first sharpened his skills in the legendary Subaru Impreza GC8, a machine known for bravery and noise. More recently, he upgraded to the mighty Mitsubishi Evo 9, a car built for speed and serious competition. With the Evo 9 now under his control, many believe Farook has the weapon needed to make some sort of  statement.

Driving Style

Farook is not the type to chase drama or drive like rent is due tomorrow. He is composed, calculated, and understands that rallying is won by surviving as much as attacking. He knows when to push and when to respect the road. In a sport where many drivers start like rockets and finish like stories, Farook prefers discipline.

Pearl Rally 2026 Expectations

Returning from a long sabbatical, Farook Sentongo is not coming for social media content or unnecessary headlines. He is coming for one thing to reach the final checkered flag. If podium opportunities come, he will take them gladly, but first priority is finishing strong, enjoying the event, and reminding fans that Mr Miniprice still knows the road to the finish line.

Mr Miniprice is back and business may soon be booming on the stages.
