Vivo Energy Uganda today announced a UGX. 100M boost to the much anticipated 2017 VPower Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally at the Official Launch of the Rally in Bugolobi, Kampala.
Vivo Energy Uganda today announced yet another boost to the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally with a sponsorship package worth UGX. 100 million as part of their commitment to support the Pearl of Africa Rally. This announcement was made during the launch of the 20th Edition of the VPower Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally this morning at Shell Bugolobi, a Kampala Suburb.

20th Edition of the VPower Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally
The 2017 VPower Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally will be the 20th edition of the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally and this year’s event which attracts drivers from across the borders is one of the 8 Rounds of the FIA Sanctioned African Rally Championship (ARC) and the 5th Round of the FMU National Rally Championship (NRC).

Ronald Ssebuguzi and Arthur Blick Jr received a sponsorship package worth over UGX. 65M each ahead
Ronald Ssebuguzi Receives UGX. 65m Check from MD, Vivo Energy Uganda
Ssebuguzi will promote the VPower Product line while Blick Jnr promotes the Shell Helix Motor Oils.
Ssebuguzi currently leads the National Rally Championship with a whooping 250 points.
Arthur Blick Jr. follows in on the ranks with 40 points after the just concluded FMU Challenge Rally.

FMU President Dusman Okee said that :
“We thank Vivo energy for the continued and committed support towards the motorsport fraternity. This year’s Pearl of Africa Rally is with no doubt going to be an exciting and successful thanks to Shell.” – the president said
He went on to add that Safety has been prioritized both for the spectator and competitors.
